Arapahoe vs Smoky Hill 2/1
Warrior JV 84, Smoky Hill Buffaloes 36
Playing one of their best offensive and defensive games of the season, the Warriors held the Buffaloes to only 36 points, while every player on the Arapahoe JV contributed to the 84 points scored by the Warriors. The defense forced one turnover after another and the offense, with only two 3 pointers (Bryan Howey) in the entire game, ran one fast break play after another, scoring most of their points on drives to the rim. With his best offensive game of the season, Luc Weaver was the high scorer for the Warriors. Arapahoe will be on their home court again Friday, 2/3/2012 against a tough Grandview team at 5:30 pm. Go Warriors!

Arapahoe vs Cherokee Trail 1/27
Warrior JV 60, Cherokee Trail Cougers 54
While the Warriors lead 11-7 after the 1st quarter, 26-17 at the half, and 43-33 at the end of the 3rd quarter, the Cougers refused to go away, putting on a full court press in the last four minutes of the game, which disrupted the Warrior transition game. Several steals, and deadly 3 point shooting by the Couger's Josh Hulbert brought the Cougers to within 2 points of the Warriors. The Arapahoe players kept their poise, and a monster rebound by Blake Nelson and timely free throw shooting by Brendan Till and Nick Farmen in the last minute of the game preserved the win for Arapahoe. High scorers for the Warriors were Matt Glasscock and Corbin Atwell. Arapahoe will be on their home court on Wednesday, 2/1/2012 against Smoky Hill High School at 5:30 pm. Go Warriors!

In another game where every Warrior on the roster scored points, the Warriors held the lead at the end of the 3rd quarter 43-40. Arapahoe vs Regis 12/16
Warriors Fall to Regis 51-61 Superior ball handling and a shooting percentage of 68% from the field and 92% from the foul line paced the Regis Raiders to a win over the Arapahoe Warriors. Down 5 points at the half, 22-27, the Warriors fought back several times in the second half to within three points of the Raiders, but were not able to sustain the pace against a Raiders team that frustrated a normally very agressive and successful Warrior defense with effective ball movement. High scorer for the Warriors was Blake Nelson. The next game for the Arapahoe JV will be Wednesday, 1/4/2012 at Arapahoe at 5:30 pm. against our first Centennial League opponent, Cherokee Trail.
